Within the Taxshila Vidhyapeeth campus, this school is thoughtfully designed to cater to the region’s hot and dry climate. Surrounded by trees, a hostel courtyard and existing structures the project seamlessly integrates with its context while embracing the needs of modern education.
Serving students from kindergarten to 7th standard, with additional spaces for postgraduate classes and campus administration, the design focuses on creating soft, playful, and interactive spaces. A large lobby connects the school to the adjacent old structure, fostering continuity between the past and present.
Courtyards and open spaces enhance natural light and ventilation, creating a climate-responsive and engaging environment for young learners. The staggered planning and clean, minimal forms reflect a modern aesthetic while responding thoughtfully to the site boundaries. Materials and techniques leverage local labor skills, ensuring the project remains rooted in its surroundings.
